Mayank Grover – Producer

Mayank Grover is a programmer by profession and has worked in the financial industry as a Software developer for the past 3 years. He specializes in design and development of algorithms and code optimizations.er
What brings Mayank to ETC is his passion for playing and developing games. He wants to expand his horizon from programming to game design in order to understand and deliver on creating immersive experiences in both the real and the virtual space. Mayank hopes on working in the game industry as a Programmer and/or game designer.

Benjamin Uscinski – Programmer

After receiving my degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington, I worked as an operator for the Physics research program called HAARP in Gakona Alaska. During which I also produced a movie entitled, “Excision,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012. Currently I’m looking for an internship as a Technical Producer for the summer of 2013.

Yichao Guo – Artist

When Yichao was an undergraduate student in Electronic Engineering School, he found himself more interested in arts and games and he began to teach himself digital painting since then. Now he is pursuing a master degree of Entertainment Technology at Entertainment Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon University, working as a 2D artist in his projects for the first semester.

 

 

ETC Spring 2012 (Ying Stephanie Yuan)Ying Yuan – Programmer

Ying majored in Software Engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During her undergraduate life, she spent most of time in Computer Graphics, Data mining as well as Embedded Systems. She has been a game lover since childhood and is fond of RPG, MMO & puzzle games. She hopes her programming background can bring more to this project and see great potential in it.

 

 

Zheng, Yunxin (Allison)

Yunxin Zheng – Programmer

With a computer science background and passion about art, Yunxin(Allison) always pursue a way to combine technology and art. In her mind, technology should apply to people’s daily life and make everybody happier. Since she made sketches for many years, so she has an insight into creating 3D realistic virtual scenes using computer. She is interested in games and computer graphics, and also enjoys coding and everything related to graphics.

 

 

Chen, Yen-Chu (Lucien)

Lucien Chen – Game designer

“Game is Life”. In my perspective, game composes by three base elements, Rules, Object, and Rewards. Same as our life, I also believe my life is a game. I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan.I chase my goal – be game designer – since I was junior high school student. During my college, I majored in Game Design, and internship in some game companies. The reward for me is “Happiness”. I enjoy focusing on my works and feel satisfied when it was done. Also, people feel surprised, enjoying and happy when they play my works and see my art works, but sometimes not always be positive feedback. However, all of it are the motivation that push you to keep moving and growing

Brian Lee – Artist & Designer

Although Brian Lee majored in Business Administration, he still has a strong passion in sharing his world with other people. Due to this purpose, while he was studying in college, he devoted most of his time exploring in different fields associated with storytelling such as film, comic, and game design. After graduating from college, Brian became a game designer and worked for the game industry in Taiwan, responsible for the whole plan of combat visual design and development of In-Game Movie Editor. During this time, he started realize where his talent and where he should go for in the future. So, he started his master degree in CMU Entertainment Technology Center, and decided to become a concept artist with the knowledge of game design.

 

Chen, Scott

Scott Chen – Artist

Scott was born in Taipei, Taiwan. After graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and worked for two years in the multimedia industry, Scott decided to pursue his dream of becoming a game designer. Scott is interested in implementing never- before- seen gameplay in games using modern technology, and also emphasize on simplicity of the art/game design.
