This week, Team FeelsBot focused on getting the level and basic interactions ready for our Halves demo!
Much of the week was centered around getting the core level look and feel and the spirit machine interactions working. This consisted of Ross finalizing assets, implementing textures and researching how to get the machine animations into Unreal. Brian edited the temp dialogue and various sound effects, and designed the layout of the levels, including adding lighting, particles and asset placement. Justin spent the majority of the week building the framework for the game and discerning how to make sure all of the interactions worked together, such as implementing event timing, eye scanner interaction and sound playback. Wendy assisted Ross with creating assets and designed the UI for the spirit machine in our retro 1970’s sci-fi style.
Along with our demo, the team spent the week preparing our Halves presentation, which we will give next Wednesday. There is still plenty of work and preparation before then, but we look forward to showing everyone Left Unsaid!
