This week marks the first of our two week sprint to Halves. This week was all about prototyping and working towards a build that we can show and test.
No only have we finished all of our “core” objects, but we also built the basis for our room layout. With these completed, Justin was about to really delve into the heart of the experience interactions. This included level streaming, machine interactions and making sure the entire intro sequence is ready for asset integration.
Ross and Wendy continued creating art assets, with Ross mainly focusing on creating and iterating on the Spirit Machine.
Brian designed the level layout of the room in the beginning of the week and, after handing it to Justin, began working on sound design and recording temp dialogue which will serve as a test for story content and tone. Rhea was a massive help to the team as she offered to play Candace, while Brian played Edward. Brian also created some basic sound assets, such as ambience and machine interaction sounds.
Next week is the final full week before halves, in which we hope to finish and test our intro sequence!
