Hazmat: Hotzone is an instructor-based simulation that uses video game technology to train first responders about how to respond to hazardous materials emergencies. Hazmat: Hotzone is currently in development at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University in collaboration with the Fire Department of New York. Hazmat: Hotzone is still in development and is estimated to be completed in Spring 2007. Once completed, our goal is to freely distribute this program to fire departments across the country.
