**NEWS ALERT** – We are super excited to share this news! Our experience, Kaleidoscope, is a finalist for the 23rd annual SXSW Innovation Award!! Just a quick introduction of our project – it is an interactive experience on cultural implicit bias using 3 projectors, 1 HTC Vive controller and 1 Intel RealSense camera. This award recognizes and celebrates the most exciting tech developments in the connected world. My teammates and I are so grateful for this opportunity and to be recognized for this achievement!
For those attending SXSW 2020, come visit us at the Innovation Awards Finalist Showcase on Saturday, March 14, 12 pm-6 pm CT, at the Austin Convention Center (Exhibit Hall 1)
Team Kaleidoscope has made an interactive installation exploring cultural implicit bias for the Askwith Kenner Global Languages and Cultures Room located in the new Tepper Quad at Carnegie Mellon University.
The goal for this project is to utilize an engaging and visually stimulating experience to tackle a subject – implicit cultural bias – that exists everywhere around the world. Through this experience, we hope to encourage guests to reflect on how culture shapes their perceptions of identity, and how these perceptions may not be entirely representative of the truth.
