Team Kotodama Fruit Juice is well on our way to a successful halves presentation!
We’ve dissected our playtests (Thanks again Woody!) and gotten great information for our product moving forward.
We’ve also been able to develop the framework for our product — it’s amazing! Momo’s animations for our character Fred are spot on and the placeholder textures are in. We can now build our grammar in real time and have the character react to what we say – so far, it’s all heckling!
That’s right, the basis for our prototype is heckling a comedian. As we grow more adept with out technology, we want to add a range of interactions, but for the moment Heckling provided us a great starting point. The player will be able to change the mood of the performer depending on how often they interrupt the performance (and go after Fred!)
This weekend through the beginning of next week we work on polishing our presentation for our Wednesday time slot. It’s nerve-wracking, but we all feel much better about our position now that the prototype is up and running. We’ve had several good live tests and are working to integrate the project into the oculus rift for a more immersive experience.
If only the script wasn’t HORRIBLE. (j/k?)
