Race 2420 is the Post-Production piece  prepared by our team. We developed a 4 minutes animation short based on the animatics and storyboard provided by faculty.

The story talks about five fish-like creatures racing in a steam punk environment.

There are lots of production challenges:

• Customized and complex materials
• Flexible deformation for the character and shell
• Humanized animation on nonhuman characters
• Customized effects

During the semester, we successfully troubleshoot the challenges and designed the unique animation pipeline which is proven to be efficient. The experience further familiarized us with animation developed process and prepare us well for the industry.
