Client Meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23th 2015
We met our client in Colonial School at Grindstone. Before the meeting, we had prepared and printed the questions we had and some reference for the client to better understand our current game design. During the meeting, we first explained our current design and then asked the questions to them, especially the social worker who we had never met before and is the key person to help us to better understand the audience.
We learned that the kids at the school have several social problem such as feeling difficulties to express themselves, listening to each other and trust others. The most important one is listening, which is what our game design mainly focus on. We also learned what aspect in our game is different with the activities in their classes. Our games will be played on the social class and the activities in social class are mostly talking to each other and some individually competitive board game. So what they need is a cooperative game with communication.
Story 1.0
In the futuristic space world, people take spacecrafts to travel between planets. However, space pirates often rob their properties and even threaten their lives. As a member of Space Peacekeeping Force, players should try their best to escort people and defend against pirate enemies along the journey. Usually, the more people players escort, the more enemies will come. After completing missions, players will receive promotions in rank and upgrades to their skills.
