This Monday, we had our projects soft-opening and during that we got a lot of valuable suggestions. And base on the feedback we made a lot of adjustment on our project.
First, we change the layout of our player UI to put information together, also, we simplify the information to make it more clear. Then we add more feedback on the score change when you get the enemy down or successfully trigger the ultimate skills. Also, we change the big screen scene to add more feedback on the spaceship get attack and be damaged to make the atmosphere more immersive. We readjust the difficulty to make enemy easier to destroy but there are more enemy ships there.
After we made these changes, on this Thursday, we went to our client colonial school to deliver our beta version game. We asked the original group who is keeping track of our projects. They tried several times with different role configuration and difficulty. The feedback is great and they enjoy playing our game as a team to help with each other to achieve the same goal. After that, we did a brief interview with our client, teachers and students to get their opinion and to review our project from another perspective. Also, we still working on polishing our game in order to officially deliver our project next Wednesday(12/09).
We hold a competition among ETC students to, we create a sign up list to invite different groups of students to come to our project room to play our game. All the teams enjoys playing it after several times trying and learned the UI and mechanics. Most of the teams are willing to come back to play again and beat the other teams in the leader board.
