First Play Test
We recently had an opportunity to take a very basic, early concept version of our machine to the museum for play testing. During our play test we were looking at a number of key points to determine whether or not we are headed in the right direction. Ergonomics is one of the main functionality points we are hoping to clear up. We designed a smaller box that houses two of our eventual seven modifiers and the box has been built to the exact height at which we hope to have our finished dashboard rest. Secondly, the connection between the physical and digital models will be a key interest point. At this stage we only have an external monitor from which to run the experience so if they can create a viable connection now, we will have no worries with a forty-six inch television directly in front of them.
In the end we had a group of twelve play testers; five boys and seven girls, with the youngest being twenty-one months old, well below our target of five years of age. Until next time!
