Play Test Number Two
A successful second round of play testing! An influx from the mere twelve children in our first play test we had an overwhelming forty-seven play testers this time. Although we had to bring an external display monitor that was a few feet further back that the final build we saw a great connection and understanding for children between the physical and digital components of the experience. Something else we were hoping for was a wide range of ages to interact. To that extent we had a child who was eight years old that demonstrated a full understanding of everything we presented but also lowered our youngest tester thus far from twenty-one months to nineteen months old! It was a fantastic site to see. Multiple children and families were able to participate in the experience simultaneously which tips a hat to the robustness of the code which combines the modifiers as well as the original designs of the dashboard which spreads the modifiers out in an orderly fashion. The information gathered from this play test will help immensely as we move forward in the semester. Thank you to the MAKESHOP for helping facilitate the play test and to you, our trusty reader, for keeping up to date on the latest coming from the Take Shape project.
