In the fall semester of 2012 the Take Shape team will be working in conjunction with the MAKESHOP to create a brand new, one of a kind exhibit, focused on exposing children to the fundamentals of 3D modeling. Throughout this semester our team will be exploring the ways children view, focus and create various forms through simple construction of primitives. By giving the children primitives, a variety of basic shapes, we can see their thought process in creating a complex object from simple shapes. The information we gather from these play-test scenarios will greatly effect the way we design our end product.
So far we’ve explored lots of hardware, software and visual design ideas that we hope to mix and match until we find a viable solution to our task.
