Weekly Newsletter 10
We began the week with preparing for quarters. It happened to be on the back of having spring break as well as most of the team going to GDC. Over those two weeks we got some work done (thankfully), though not quite as much as we should have. We moved into the halves week preparing the presentation and having rehearsals with the faculty.
Through these two days we actually kept our tasks ticking over as opposed to our quarter’s presentation which mostly caused things to stop! We went through the presentation with some ease and kept our motivation into the second part of the week, finishing our sprint.
We did manage to get the King of the Hill mechanic in our game working. Not only this, our point generation now works on the iPhone. These are all big steps in getting our gameplay down. We should soon be able to test our game, which will happen hopefully next week.
One of our programmers is currently building up the UI cameras and system so when the UI begins flooding in, we should be able to start plugging it all in a smooth motion! The rate at which features and art are coming forward finally feels faster now that a lot of the back end items have been cleared out the way. Hopefully it keeps going into next week!
