About weTheme and the ETC Portugal project

WeTheme is the first project team of the Masters of Entertainment Technology of Madeira Interactive Technology Institute, M-ITI. The team is currently located at the Universidade da Madeira - Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, in Funchal on the Island of Madeira, Portugal.

WeTheme is working with the Parque Temático da Madeira (Madeira Theme Park) located in Santana, about a one hour drive from Funchal. The park covers seven acres of land with a multitude of attractions relating to the history, traditions and culture of Madeira. The attraction we will work on is a CAVE, a virtual environment utilizing four projections to display images on a room-sized cube. The room is about 64 m² (700 ft²) with a bridge running directly through the center, leading guests into and out of the pavilion.
