This was a busy week for us as we had to work on the game prototypes, UI design, Mobile Application, Back-end and playtest plan for next Monday. Even though tech might be over scoped for this semester and design ideas needs a lot of iteration, we were not ready to give up on it yet. We believed the fact that if it’s challenging, make it worthwhile.
Our Artist, Jingya made a UI for our mobile application , which is for the viewer and a website UI for the streamer in Twitch.
These helped the programmers to have a clear picture of what was required and was able to create a mobile application with basic functionalities to record and upload sounds and store the sounds in a sound gallery.
After meeting with our client and advisors, we got a better idea for our game in Twitch which had more streamer-viewer interaction and more freedom to the players. The nw idea was a rolling collection game which was inspired by “Katamary Damacy”, a video game franchise created by Keita Takahashi. We made a few changes to our design and changes to the game to fit our experience into the Twitch culture.
We have already set our list of plans ready for next week – to have a playtest on Monday and to prepare for halves presentations topping that list. We are excited more than ever to work on this project and aim to make the design service blueprint a reality.
