Our week started by continuing to integrate the different elements of our experience. We made a brief plan till the softs opening to help us work together and to better understand our goals for each week.
For playtest 4, our major goal was to get the back-end connection working and to integrate mobile application with the game. We wanted to do a playtest in ETC with a colleague, who had not played our game before, being the streamer. For playtest 5, we wanted to test our experience with a real streamer which meant that the website had to be ready and have the game and app downloadable for everyone.
Next, we reviewed the last playtest that happened on playtest day and collected all the feedback and suggestions from play testers. The feedback that we got are as follows:
- Trying to find sound and recording was fun and interesting
- Easy to record using the application (hard for a few people above the age of 50)
- Did not understand what an event was, would be better to have a tutorial
- Fun moments:
- Watching the sounds being collected
- Listening to the sounds
- Chatting with the streamer
- Frustrating moments:
- Streamer not collecting any of their sound
- Could not chat with other viewers
Based on the suggestions we received, we improved our mobile application user interface and also the unity game. Our designer made a wire frame for the unity game, leader-board and the tasks for the streamer.
