We had our soft opening on Monday of this week – the format is like quarters: all ETC faculty were coming to see and comment on our product.
Because our team needs Twitch as the main component, we cannot run a test play for each group of faculty – instead of doing a normal presentation, we created a special showcase just suit our project:
- Used one whiteboard in our project room to illustrate the walk through of our experience (Figure 1)
- Used the other whiteboard to show the results of 5 playtests we had in the past months (Figure 2)
- Edited a short video about the 5th playtest with real streamer to express the great result we had (the video is in last week’s post)
- Went through the actual streamer’s website and viewer’s mobile app
Overall, faculty mostly thought our soft went pretty well, but there were still a couple of points need to be noticed:
- The quality of data collection
- Validation is still an indispensable part
- The user interface of mobile application can be improved
We would try to improve our final deliverable as much as possible in the last few days.
