Week 8: The Saplings of our Labor

After only one week of production time, with most being dedicated to research and development of items the game will need, we begin to have some results.

Both our designers were out for CHI Play this week, but who needs them anyway? 

 

We finalized a stained glass aesthetic for our UI and playtested different versions of coloring to see what the Steenrod students reacted to. We tried to see what coloration patterns they saw as “clean” and “polluted”. We also built the UI into unity and finished some of the basic networking communications. We can now trade items between players and fade to different levels of pollution. With the communication and UI implemented, we can now begin layering the game systems into the experience.
