Week 14 – Soft Openings
Soft Opening!
Lazer Mouse had the Soft Opening on Monday morning. We demonstrated our work to the faculty members and other visitors whole day. We got really good feedback during these demos.
The biggest issue was our visual language. The app and the end product relationship was not strong enough. Etching lines were not persuasive enough as well as the cutting lines were only like black stamps. We have worked on this during this week and now we have shadows and holes representing the 3d cutouts.
Our second touch during free drawing mode was still a problem during our Softs and Akshaya is working on that. Hopefully, it will be ready by this Sunday.
Observing adults having difficulties with interactions while kids get in a few trials was surprising. We will be relying on our real clients, kids, in this issue.

Finalizing the Set up the Laser Cutter at MAKESHOP
We set up the software components on Wednesday. While we were demonstrating the whole experience to Rebecca and Christian, we found some bugs. Therefore we spent our time more on fixing last minute issues rather than play testing this week.
Next Week!
- There left only 1 week before our final presentation. We have made a list of things have to be fixed. We distributed the tasks and we believe we will rock on our final presentation.
