Week 5 included our quarter’s presentation for the faculty. As part of our presentation, we gave an overview of what our client’s current goals and how we intend to achieve them and got feedback on those from the faculty members.
Our original goal was to deliver six games related to six different constructs (empathy, curiosity, zest, co-operation and growth mindset). We were planning on working on them in two development cycles, each one will have a programmer working on one game so by the end of each cycle we will have three games.
After presenting to the faculty they expressed some of their concerns. Such as our games so far have been too on the nose, it might be a bit tight schedule, delivering six games can be a bit of a stretch and based on our current schedule, our artist will have to work in crunch mode most of the time.
We took that feedback back to our client and they responded positively to it. The numbers of games were cut and we went back to the drawing board to focus more on what are our transformational goals for each one of the games.
The goal now is to deliver three games, that address the psychological barriers and have a stronger understanding on how those games can create a change in the teens.
