Etaba Assigana

Roles: Creative Director, Game Designer, Producer, Sound Designer

Etaba is a Masters student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computational Media at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His academic and career interests include music for games, narrative creation/storytelling, and game design. This past summer, he completed an internship at Sony Computer Entertainment America as an assistant music editor, curator, and audio engineer. He is also generally interested in web development, graphic design, and UI/UX design. His non-academic interests include: DJing, music production, breakdancing, skateboarding, parkour, video games, and watching movies.

Hwang Youn Kim

Role: Animator

Youn is a Masters student studying 3D animation at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. He received his Bachelor’s degree in engineering from Soongsil University in Seoul, Korea. Many people have enjoyed his animations and encouraged him to go further. He has gotten a lot of feedback from professors and students at the ETC. It has really helped him to create more detailed animations. He is a budding animator; however, he is taking his ETC opportunity to have fun making animations with other people and learning as much as possible along the way.

Robin Li

Role: Associate Producer

Robin (Ruobing) Li is a Masters student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Finance from Zhejiang University in Zhejiang, China. This past summer, he completed an internship at Sony Computer Entertainment America as a first-time producer. Because of that experience, he wants to continue exploring his potential in production. He is enthusiastic about emerging technologies such as virtual reality, motion/emotion capture, body tracking, and what all of these can bring to education and scientific simulation. He is currently taking Computer Vision and Cloud Computing to leverage his knowledge and skills in these areas. The SMALLab project opens a whole new perspective for him to think outside the box of conventional chalkboard teaching. He is excited to work on breaking the boundary between playing and learning.

Prajwal Manjunath

Role: Lead Programmer, Game Designer

Prajwal is a programmer at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer and Information Sciences from Visvesvaraya Technological University in Karnataka State, India.

Judy Zhu

Roles: 2D Artist, UI Designer

Judy (Ziyu) Zhu is a 2D artist at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center. Her focus is interaction design, motion design and user experience research. She is interested in future technologies and lifestyles; and is very passionate about building bridges between tech and human life.
