Week 6 Newsletter — Spring 2014
Having a public holiday on Monday gave us an opportunity to stay at home, even though this did mean we had to stay in and practice our presentation together anyway. We got quite a bit of practice done before we went into our rehearsal on Tuesday, which went quite well with the faculty being far more impressed with our slide set up.
Wednesday went off without any real hitches. The four Silicon Valley project teams got together to have lunch in the room of the presentations after the last rehearsals. Guests filed in to join us for lunch and we performed each presentation, having five minutes afterward where questions from the audience were asked.
After quarters, the programmers and UI/artists each had a meeting to make sure everyone was on the same page with tasks. With tasks outlined, the team was really motivated to move forward after feeling bit captivated quarters.
Moving forward, a lot of the tech infrastructure is coming around. We are leading up to testing some of the smaller mechanics like gathering puzzle pieces. This we will be able to do when we merge code of several of the programmers. They should be done with each of their separate tasks at the end of next week, concluded our sprint.
We would also like to finish off a survey about our UI and our theming. This will be constructed and sent out on Monday of next week to improve our decision on our UI theme direction.
After this we can reevaluate our projects tasks and the methods we are using to accomplish them, using our agile process.
Have a great weekend!
