Hello!
This is week 6 and we developed 4 more prototypes! This is the list!
-
CozMap
- Using Pygame integration, sequencing commands to Cozmo, and path follower capacities, an interface was made that could program Cozmo to go in certain path and do certain moves!
-
Cozmo Planner
- Using various 3rd party API(google calander, weather, and Fitbit) and speech recognition, Cozmo can update/remind you with information about your schedule, weather, and health as a friend!
-
Cozmo World
- Using custom markers and animations, a small space was themed as an underwater environment and different objects with custom markers were attached for Cozmo to detect and interact!
-
Cozmo Icebreaker
- Using face detection capabilities, Cozmo can act as an icebreaker through recognizing people and asking them funny questions!
Also, we met with Troy and Kaiser and shared our 4 ideas we had for our final deliverables, and here are the ideas and feedback for each.
1. Educational sequencing idea using line drawing (Expanding on CozMap prototype above)
How is this different from Scratch?
What is unique about line drawing?
How would character be integrated in this experience? Does that make it unique?
2. Storytelling idea. – using cubes to proceed a story with Cozmo.
The experience should not rely heavily on phone.
Make it age appropriate keeping Anki’s average demographic age of 10.
How is the experience replayable?
3. Alexa integration – create an ongoing drama between Alexa and Cozmo on your desk!
It is a hard challenge. (Technical and design perspective) – scope it well.
How is the experience replayable? Is it boring the second time you see it?
4. Custom marker interface / Cozmo World – Creating an easy interface for anyone to customize the meanings of custom markers.
Think of a meaningful use-case.
Why would you want to give meaning to different markers?
Why would that be interesting?
At the end of the meeting, we got the feedback that Cozmo World and Storytelling ideas have more probability of becoming our foundation for our final deliverable, but we will keep coming up with more ideas!
Next week, Sharan and Rajeev are out at GDC but they will join our client and still have our weekly client meeting!
