Deliverables
The deliverables for this project will be two innovations for FSN Pittsburgh. The first will be custom created content for FSN broadcasts. This content will include a series of medical videos that highlight the most common injuries sustained in baseball. These clips will feature 3d animation of how the injury occurs, interviews with medical experts, and how long and what kind of rehabilitation the player must undergo. In addition to the medical segments the team will create a 30 minute segment on the 1909 World Series. This will be aired during the pre or post game show during the season as a commemoration to the 100 years anniversary.
The second innovation is the "fan cam." This camera will photograph the fans of PNC Park every 30 minurtes. The pictures will then be "stitched" together to create one large picture of the entire stadium. The picture refered to as a GigaPan will then be available to the public. The guests inside and outside of the stadium can login to the "Fan Cam" website and view this picture. By submitting their section, row, and seat information they can see themselves and save their image to their hard drive. We would like to add more features such as borders and specific game information to the saved pictures to make them unique souveniers. An example is located here
