Game Walkthrough
Cloud Level
Cut Scene:
(Screen remains black)
You hear a discussion, but you can't quite understand.
"What are we going to do with her?"
"She can't stay up here! The queen would have a fit. You know how she's been lately. She's made our world into a freezing cold winter!"
"I couldn't just leave her there. She got hit by one of our falling clouds. *sigh* At this rate there won't be any of Celest City left."
"I think she's waking up! I'm out of here. I won't be blamed for this, Midnight!"
You open your eyes and still groggy try to make out your surroundings. A small figure stands beside the bed you are lying on. Her skin is blue and she's staring at you intensely.
"Let me explain." She says. "You're in a very different place, now. This is Celest City."
"What happened? Where's my puppy?"
"Don't worry, we brought him up too."
"Up?"
"Yes, we live above your world. I'm sorry for bring you here. I didn't know what to do and now I can't get you back. You'll have to ask the queen to transport you back to earth."
"Are you."
"A fairy. Yes. Look I'm really sorry about all this. But if you ever need my help you can contact me by pushing this button. (Button pops up). And here, take these two crystals. (Player receives crystals). You might be able to trade them for something useful. I really must go. But the other Celestians can help you out too. Good luck."
Interactive:
You begin to wander around the world. A large rainless storm is brewing. You see several fairies and other strange creatures that mostly ignore you. As you talk to them, you find that they are so preoccupied with their own problems that they can't find time to help you out. You begin to learn that a drought has caused mayhem all over the city. Some creatures are nicer than others, but they all seem to be pretty reasonable if you have something to offer them for their advice. Along your adventures, you find a winged woman in distress. She reveals that she needs a feather for the set of wings she's building. Remembering the one you found before, you give it to her. The winged woman thanks you adamantly and flies away exclaiming "I'm outta here!"
Cut Scene:
As soon as the winged woman leaves, you see two monkey-like faerie-farmers charge onto the screen. They begin to argue around the pond where the winged woman used to stand. The argument escalates until each farmer finally storms off into their own property, slamming the gates shut.
Interactive - Property Mediation:
You can wander around and talk to the farmers to find out what the argument was about. You can also hear either farmer's personal point of view about what happened. Eventually you learn that a recent drought and cold freeze is causing their farmland to wither away. Now, there's less land to share between the two neighbors and the water supply is dwindling.
If you investigate enough and talk to both farmers, you can reach a point where the farmers say: "Let's look at a map together". A property mediation game is triggered where you help the farmers decide how to share their property.
Cut Scene:
After the farmers thank you for their help (with rewards such as crystals and other inventory items), they wonder out loud about why it's not raining. They're worried that there's something wrong with the Water Queen. You ask for more information about the Water Queen and they tell you that you have to use the Jump Pads. The Queen's castle is above them and you have to jump up to reach it. However, a mean bully is guarding the jump pads and won't let you use them unless you pay him five crystals. He also has trapped a faerie inside a jar as light source in the harsh weather conditions.
Interactive - Bully Negotiation:
The farmers and Midnight encourage you to talk to the cloud villagers. You can talk to the other characters to barter and exchange items. Also, you eventually learn that the bully is afraid of the dark and that's why he has captured the fairy. If you talk to all the other characters again, they will turn on their lights and the bully will release the fairy. After this happens, you should have enough crystals to pay the jump pad fare.
Cut Scene:
After you help the bully, he explains that the thunder and lightning is a sign that the Water Queen is very angry. The bully then helps you onto the jump pad and instructs you to jump carefully up the clouds towards the Water Queen's Palace.
