Carnegie Science Center | Model Railroad

The Miniature Railroad and Village layout has been a popular Pittsburgh attraction for decades, and one of the most popular exhibits at the Carnegie Science Center .   The exhibit spans generations as it explores Western Pennsylvania 's cultural heritage.  The ETC is working with the Carnegie Science Center to develop new interactive experiences that augment the railroad layout and capture the stories of people that lived them.

Additionally, the Carnegie Science Center hopes to acquire a 901,340 lbs. Bessemer & Lake Erie Texas-type steam locomotive.  The locomotive would serve as the centerpiece for a massive new Science Center expansion also to be developed by the LBE Studio.
