MaryCatherine has been a vital part of the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) since 2006, serving as the academic advisor for ETC students and recently for two IDeATe minors, including Game Design, and Animation. With a deep commitment to student success, she guides learners through course planning, registration, academic policies, and work authorization, while also contributing to the development of ETC’s application software.
Before joining ETC, MaryCatherine spent 15 years in Carnegie Mellon’s administration and earned her Master of Public Management from Heinz College in 1996. Her extensive experience and institutional knowledge make her a trusted mentor and resource for students navigating their academic journeys.
MaryCatherine’s impact extends beyond advising—she fosters a supportive, inclusive environment that empowers students to thrive creatively and professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys practicing yoga, making pottery, and cheering at hockey games, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to her personal passions as she does to her role at ETC.
