Joy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animation with a minor in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Before joining ETC, she worked as a Visual Designer at Samsung Research America in the NEON lab, where she explored digital humans and virtual platforms. She has contributed to several creative projects, including a virtual physical pet project where she focused on character design and interactive experience development. Her goal is to blend art and technology to create experiences that feel alive through characters, immersive worlds, and playful mechanics, and to continue growing as a designer who brings imagination and emotion into experiences that resonate with people.
