Tony graduated from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Cognitive Science, specializing in Design and Interaction. He has worked on diverse projects, including volunteering at the UC San Diego Design Lab under Professor Steven Dow and serving as a UX designer intern for a mindfulness startup app that gamifies meditation practices. Tony focuses his design work on the local community level, aiming to create customized, meaningful experiences that respond to the unique needs of the people they serve. His goal is to pursue a design career that leverages his social science background to better bridge the gap between market needs and user experiences. At the ETC, Tony is eager to explore how interactive technology can merge storytelling, culture, and emotional engagement. Outside the classroom, Tony enjoys street photography, cooking, and studying traditional East Asian art.
