360 Studio is a student project at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center exploring how a 360° cylindrical display can support new forms of location-based multiplayer entertainment. We investigate how a continuous screen changes what players see, how they move, and how they interact in a shared physical space. Through rapid prototyping and playtesting, we explore cooperative and competitive games designed around the display’s unique form. Our goal is to identify what makes play around the ring engaging and intuitive, and to develop a refined multiplayer experience supported by practical design insights for future creators.
