Front Seat is a team of five graduate students at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center partnering with Sky Limit Entertainment to develop a unique, stand-alone virtual reality experience for use in a SoReal omnidirectional chair. We will spend part of the semester discovering what the chair does best through rapid prototyping of mechanisms, motions and story-lines before moving on to developing and delivering one final experience. Focusing on interactive engagement and highlighting the greatest features of the chair, we are hoping to create a collaborative experience that excites VR novices, gaming pros, and everyone in between.
