Spring 2026
On May 12, 2008, a massive earthquake struck Wen Chuan, claiming over 80,000 lives. Amongst the center of the earthquake sprang a miracle: a middle school evacuated over 2,000 students and staff in just 96 seconds.
Among the gray waves of concrete ashes that won't go away for weeks, people gasp for this miracle.
This is the inspiration of our game, Gray Waves. It is a documentary fiction that cues to that very fragile part of history, a 3D narrative puzzle game about a middle school teacher trapped in a time loop at a school on the day of an earthquake. He finds a way to save all people who died there. This is a game about the transformation from powerlessness and frustration to acceptance.
This is a game about hope.
