INKLINGS is an animation studio team of five passionate creators at Carnegie Mellon University, Entertainment Technology Center. The students are striving to create a short animated film telling the story of a young witch's exploration with magic ink which turns her world two-dimensional by accident, aiming to warn audiences not to take shortcuts. In the production, the team utilizes hand motion capture in the animation procedure and POV to bring a more realistic and smooth experience. The team builds the film based on the pre-production package from a previous animation studio team and will create another brand-new pre-production package for a future team.
