Innerverse is a multiplayer immersive experience designed for the ETC’s Cavern, a customized CAVE with a 270-degree curved projection screen. Using computer vision cameras and Vive trackers, players’ positions and body movements directly influence the digital world around them.
Guests enter the story of a student overwhelmed by deadlines and expectations who suddenly finds herself inside the doodle world she created in sixth grade — only to discover that something is missing. Together, players explore the imaginative world and help its characters search for what was lost.
As the journey unfolds, helping the narrator becomes a metaphor for extending that same care inward. Through playful interaction, calming audiovisual design, and emotionally grounded storytelling, Innerverse offers a brief reset from mental overload. Drawing on concepts such as externalization, psychological distance, compassionate action, and validation, the experience invites guests to pause, reframe, reconnect, and return.
