Project Website

Quake Quack is a third-person action-adventure level design project set in the Rifts Universe. Our team developed a polished mid-game level that reinforces core mechanics while expanding narrative and environmental storytelling.

Built in Unreal Engine 5, the level places players in the role of a Shifter, an outsider who can open interdimensional portals. He arrives at a sacred temple rich with scarce energy resources, where his presence is unwelcome. As he pushes toward his goal, the temple’s inhabitants resist, creating both combat and narrative tension.

As a mid-level experience, the design focuses on mechanical mastery. Players combine portal traversal, combat, exploration, and environmental interaction to progress. Encounters are structured to encourage strategic thinking and creative use of space. Through exploration and conflict, players learn about the temple’s culture, resource scarcity, and the consequences of outsider intervention, delivering a cohesive and immersive gameplay experience.
