Project Skylight's mission is to shed new light on education for 2nd to 8th grade students by creating engaging and immersive educational games.
Working with the Elizabeth Forward School District, we are developing embodied-learning educational games on the cutting edge SMALLab (Situated Multimedia Arts Learning Lab) platform. The platform uses motion-capture cameras, wireless input devices, and floor projection to immerse players in dynamic learning-by-playing scenarios. We aim to create games on the subjects of music, mathematics and vocabulary to enhance their current curriculum, while giving teachers the tools to modify the content of our games to suit different grade levels and curriculum changes over time.
