Team Top T.I.E.R. (Themed Interactive Entertainment Robotics) is developing a themed interactive experience set in the Old West. At its center is a humanoid robot character that guests compete against as they audition to become a new member of an outlaw group. The experience combines performance, storytelling, and interactive tasks to create a playful competition between guests and the robot.
The team is developing the narrative, experience design, and the robot’s distinct personality and character. They are also designing a costume and building an Old West environment using props, lighting, sound, and other elements to establish an immersive atmosphere. On the technical side, the team is programming the robot’s movements, behaviors, and interactions to convincingly portray an outlaw.
By combining storytelling, experience design, environment building, performance, and robotics, Top T.I.E.R. aims to make the robot an active character within an immersive fictional world.
